Bartle Hall Wedding Preston
An explosion of colour!
Bartle Hall Wedding Preston. Lucy & Alyas Robertson
That first feeling…
When we first met Lucy, her mother and her mother in law we instantly got that feeling that we were going to love everything about how Lucy wanted her wedding flowers for her marriage to Alyas at Bartle Hall in Preston.
Lucy & Alyas style was all about colour, fun and a certain pinch of sophisticated 50′s flair….and they wanted their wedding flowers to match.
Sitting down with some tea and biscuits for an informal chat we quickly got a feeling for what we hoped would perfectly compliment Lucy’s dress and overall style…..plus Lucy had a secret (well not that secret!) weapon up her sleeves.
Multi-Coloured Vintage Vases & Jars
Lucy & Alyas were collecting bright coloured vases and jars for their wedding displays and they wanted the flowers to emphasize, compliment and burst with as many colours as they could. This certainly got us excited as it always fun to work with bright colours for a change.
The Wedding Flowers
Bridal Bouquet – An informal handtie of bright coloured seasonal flowers including ranunculus, dahlias, gerbera’s, tulips, stocks, freesia’s, chrysanthemums and herb foliage.
Bridesmaid Bouquet – 3 Scaled down versions of the brides bouquet tied with contrasting coloured ribbon in lime green, fushia pink and bright yellow.
Groom’s Buttonhole / party buttonholes – A blue Dahlia / Gerbera with herb foliage plus party buttonholes of multi-coloured flowers.
Boutonnieres – Delicate flowers similar to brides bouquet in bright colours.
Ceremony / Table Arrangements – Each table was to have a number of vintage coloured vases, jars and glassware with bright hand tied seasonal flowers to tie in with bouquets and buttonholes. The ceremony table and surrounding area would also be decorated with glassware and flowers plus our lanterns and candles to perfectly frame the area.
Of course all this glassware always makes a super clinky-clanky nerve shredding journey to the venue. No matter how well you pack there’s always something that clangs about making you think…..hope that isn’t broken!?!?! Fingers crossed.
This made us smile
It always lovely to receive feedback and thanks from your happy couples. We received this tweet from Lucy shortly after her wedding and it made us smile from ear to ear.

Here are some photo’s of the flowers we prepared for Lucy & Alyas. We couldn’t set the room up ourselves due to logistics of the ceremony but hopefully we will soon have extra images taken by the photographer of the finished tables. As soon as we do we will link them here! x Anyway, hope you enjoy our work and the photographs. x
Top Tunes to tune into!
Of course…what would one of our blog posts be without a musical interlude? Some super cool funk, some guitar and some whimsy. Enjoy. x
