It seems that gold as a theme is becoming popular and we think (as do the ladies that made the boards) that it’s going to be a big trend for 2012. Although classic colours are still very much evident in the themes the choice of gold as a main or accent colour is becoming more popular with brides looking to get married next year. Being such a strong statement it’s important that elements are combined to create a look that is both beautiful, classic and striking whilst not going over the top into opulent extravagance.
Having said that gold isn’t a colour to shy away from either so at the other end of the scale if you want to go big….GO BIG and ensure that your gold pieces are amazing!

Our Flowers

Gold is a difficult colour to match flowers to so it’s often the best policy to ensure the flowers choices compliment rather than clash with the golden theme. As can be seen above the use of white, creams and greens is a perfect match as the white & creams allow the gold to shine whilst the green gives a natural balance that stops the gold getting carried away with itself. As gold is a very strong choice and makes a fantastic statement we don’t need to over elaborate our flowers or colours as simple and classic is definately the best choice here.
The flowers below (roses and chrysanthemums) are quintessentially classic and depending on the dress we feel match gold perfectly as they are strong full flowers that can stand on their own as a piece and by adding golden thread or ribbon would be perfect for the mood boards above.
